LAND YACHT | LIVING REEF
Each stay plants a seed in the ocean’s garden.
LAND YACHT | LIVING REEF
Located in Nova Scotia’s pristine St. Margaret’s Bay waters, the Land Yacht Living Reef is a 3-acre pre-Confederation water lot sanctuary where Reef Balls become living seeds—sheltering lobster and fish while restoring kelp forests that pulse like the ocean’s lungs. Open year-round as a public dive site, it invites explorers to witness biodiversity reborn.
Individuals can plant personal tributes, corporations can sponsor branded clusters for verified ESG impact, and the bereaved can transform grief into growth.
For guests, a portion of your stay on the Land Yacht is dedicated to the annual deployment of a Crew Reef Ball, anchoring your vacation memories in a thriving underwater cathedral of life.
Purchase a personalized Reef Ball — complete with a custom brass plaque — for just $4999.

Land Yacht Unveils Revolutionary Private Artificial Reef Project: Transforming a Pre-Confederation water lot into a Living Sanctuary
Ingramport, NS – In a groundbreaking fusion of luxury eco-tourism and marine conservation, the Land Yacht announced the launch of the world's first proprietary artificial reef initiative on its 3-acre pre-Confederation water lot. With full government approvals secured from Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) and Transport Canada, the project will deploy 1000+ eco-engineered Reef Ball modules over the next 40 years, creating a thriving underwater habitat that honours the ocean while boosting Atlantic biodiversity.
Set against the historic backdrop of Nova Scotia's coastal waters—dating back to pre-1867 land grants—the Land Yacht's “Living Reef” project transforms a serene oceanfront retreat into a beacon of sustainable innovation. Each Reef Ball, crafted from ocean-friendly, pH-neutral concrete will serve as customizable tributes, allowing guests, families and businesses to sponsor habitats and honour heroes and loved ones.
Early projections estimate the reef will enhance local lobster and fish populations by up to 5X and generate $17 million in eco-tourism revenue over two decades.
"This isn't just a vacation destination—it's a living legacy," said Thomas and Melanie Heath, the visionaries behind the Land Yacht. "Our guests will snorkel directly from our private cove into a reef they've helped build, blending heartfelt memorials with Nova Scotia's Celtic maritime heritage. We're proud to lead private conservation in Canada, partnering with the community for authentic, inclusive stewardship."
Key project highlights include:
Initial Deployment: 100 Reef Ball deployments in 2026.
Sustainability Focus: All materials meet DFO standards.
Economic Impact: Amplifying the $10M+ annual boost from Nova Scotia's reef tourism, the Land Yacht Living Reef will be a public dive site for all to enjoy.
